The Spartans return to the volleyball court with a optimistic outlook on the upcoming season. Coming off of a 20-14 season (5-6 in the University Athletic Association) - only the schools fifth 20-win season in the program's history - the Spartans look to not only improve their winning percentage but also their standing in the excruciatingly competitive UAA. Rebuild or Rebound?

Despite losing 10 players and five all-University Athletic Association players from last year, the men's soccer team has no desire to label the 2009-2010 campaign a rebuilding season. Coach Dan Palmer said, "Year in and year out, we always want to compete in the upper half of the conference and if that happens, there's a good chance we'll get a bid to the national tournament.
