S'mores, hot chocolate, a trash can fire, local security helping themselves to 'mallows as they mingle with the matriculated, and of course that great gleaming library right over there. At least one of these has to evince some kind of homelessness.

Tuesday, Sept. 29 marked the fifth annual "Eat Local Challenge" hosted by the Bon Appetit Management Company. The challenge was to prepare lunch only using ingredients from within a 150-mile radius of the dining halls.

For the first time this year, Case Western Reserve University president Barbara Snyder will host the State of the University address for both the faculty and staff together. That address, held annually during the fall, will take place from 12:30 p.m to 2 p.
